The investigation and analysis of the Weathertight failure of buildings is a key discipline of our Certified Weathertightness Surveyors. Having completed and peer reviewed over 300 leaky building assessments we are specialists in this field.
Weathertight defect analysis
Having completed and peer reviewed over 300 leaky building assessments ranging from individual homes to large terraced housing and apartment complexes we have extensive knowledge of all Weathertight defects enabling us to undertake comprehensive assessments on all forms of construction.
Our detailed assessments itemize the defects causing current water ingress, the defects that are likely to allow future water ingress and the breaches of the New Zealand Building Code and New Zealand Standards that have occurred. We also provide remedial works recommendations and can assist you in all aspects of the remediation process including acting as an expert witness to assist you in the recovery of the repair costs.
Peer review of WHRS reports
We are fully conversant with the WHRS process and are experienced in peer reviewing existing WHRS reports. A peer review report examines the defects, the scope of works and remedial works costings contained in the report to ensure that you are not left with substantial unexpected additional costs when you remediate your leaky building.
Code Compliance Certificate Resolution
We can assist you in obtaining a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) for your property by providing an in depth assessment of the existing cladding and a scope of remedial works. We can also help you in all aspects of any repair process by providing a fully detailed remedial works proposal to your Council and project managing or observing the remedial works.
